Parent Education
Providing parent training and support is critical to ensure that students receive consistent support both at school and at home. Our BCBAs and teachers work closely with parents to equip them with the tools and strategies necessary to generalize the skills their child learns in school to everyday environments. The training is individually tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring that interventions are specific to their developmental level, behavioral challenges, and learning style.
We empower parents with effective behavior strategies, creating a consistent approach that leads to lasting positive outcomes at school and home. Our integrated services enhance skill retention, foster independence, and strengthen the overall support network for the child.
Electives
We are proud to offer a variety of electives tailored to the needs and interests of our special education students, providing them with enriching opportunities for growth and self-expression.
Art: explores their creativity through various mediums
Gym: builds physical strength, coordination, and teamwork skills
Library: fosters a love of reading and enhances literacy
Music: develops rhythm, listening, and emotional expression
Each elective is designed to engage students in meaningful ways, allowing them to discover and nurture their unique talents while promoting holistic development.

Community Based Instruction
Our special education school is dedicated to fostering growth and independence in our students by offering community outings and field trips to provide real-world learning experiences. These integrated services allow students to practice and generalize the skills they’ve learned in the classroom within natural environments, reinforcing the value of belonging in the broader community. Outings include visiting:
Community outings provide real-world learning opportunities where students can practice and apply essential skills in everyday settings. These experiences enhance the following areas:
Events
We take pride in creating memorable, inclusive events centered around holidays and seasonal activities, bringing our entire school community together in celebration. These events are designed to be engaging and fun, with activities such as classroom rotations, interactive stations, and exciting games that cater to all ability levels.
By fostering a festive atmosphere, we encourage collaboration, creativity, and joy among students, staff, and families. Parents are warmly invited to join the celebrations, offering an opportunity to share in their child’s school experiences and connect with others in the community. These events not only promote a sense of belonging and unity but also create lasting memories for everyone involved.

Daily Living Skills
Daily living skills are essential for building independence and living a full life. These skills include dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and communication. We provide wrap-around services to help students learn and practice these important skills. Each student has personalized goals to support their growth and success in daily life.
Functional Skill Building
We strive to equip our students with the essential skills needed to thrive in everyday life. While academic development is important, we place equal emphasis on life skills that promote independence and fulfillment. Functional skills such as completing chores, managing time, developing pre-vocational abilities, and building social skills are seamlessly integrated into each student’s day. These skills empower students to navigate real-world experiences with confidence and success, both now and in the future.

Social Skills Group
Our daily schedule includes a social skills group to help students improve their interpersonal abilities in a supportive setting. During these sessions, students practice skills like greetings, sharing, taking turns, and resolving conflicts. Activities are interactive and hands-on, making learning engaging and meaningful. Each student follows a personalized plan with social skill goals tailored to their unique needs, promoting growth and measurable progress in their social-emotional development.
Coordination of Care
We collaborate closely with families, stakeholders, and external providers to ensure effective coordination of care across all settings. Our goal is to build on the successful strategies already in place by integrating them into our approach. We prioritize regular communication and meetings with providers to maintain seamless care coordination and promote the best outcomes for each child.
